Introduction
Even though nowadays it’s fashionable to commit to the climate and biodiversity, the idea of a more sustainable world has come a long way since it emerged as a concept back in the early 90s. But what is sustainable development? Wishful thinking? A marketing buzzword? Another model for society? A goal around which to rally the whole world? And can we really do anything to leave our planet in better shape than we found it?
